Active Citizenship

Voter Registration

Voting is an essential act for any informed citizen, and SFC considers registering to vote a key goal within our Mission Statement.

“Start by doing what is necessary; then do what’s possible; and suddenly you are doing the impossible.”

Make a Difference

Student Government Association

Take action and shape the SFC learning experience by joining our Student Government Association. This collective leads with integrity and selflessly serves the college community and beyond.

Campus Events

Throughout the year, you can take part in an array of athletic, academic, creative and cultural campus events organized by the Office of Student Activities and Leadership Development, the Student Government Association and many other clubs and organizations.

Terrier Tuesday

At the start of each year, SFC’s newest class is welcomed to the college with a party known as Terrier Tuesday. Events and activities include roller-skating, basketball, football, obstacle courses and tug-of-war.

Community Day

Every spring, the SFC community comes together to celebrate our great cultural diversity. The day is filled with exquisite cuisine and entertainment that includes song, dance, poetry and “Who am I” presentations from both faculty and staff.

Tailgate Parties

Throughout the school year, our Student Government Association partners with Athletics and Student Activities to sponsor a wide variety of pre-game parties with food and give-a-ways. Additional attractions include face paint, hair spray and student-only cheering sections.

Holiday Party with Rocky

Who can’t resist free hot chocolate, candy canes and selfies with Santa? Each fall, at the conclusion of classes, right before finals begin, the SGA sponsors a stress-free day for its peers. Always full of laughs and smiles.

Student Award Dinner

At the conclusion of the spring semester, student leaders come together to celebrate the work and accomplishments of our many student organizations. Highlights include Emerging Student Leader, Club of the Year, Event of the Year and other Staff and Administrative presentations.

Sea-Saw for a Chance

For multiple years, members of the Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity have hosted See-Saw for a Chance, a fundraiser for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Over a stretch of 50 consecutive hours, members of the fraternity symbolically see-saw in front of St. Francis College as a gesture of continuous fighting and remembrance of children battling cancer. TKE has raised more than $10,000 since it began the project.
