The goal of the Disability Service Office is to assist students with an identified disability in attaining academic success by ensuring that no individual with a disability is excluded from participation in, denied the benefits of, or subjected to discrimination in college programs or activities due to his or her disability.

The College currently provides various academic accommodations to students with an identified disability including the following:

a) Note-takers (Note-taking assistance)
b) Large-print text readers and other reading aids
c) Adaptive computer hard- and software.
d) Examinations administered via the assistance of a computer
e) Extended time for examinations
f)  Reduced distraction environment
g) Reader and/or Scribe for formal examinations

The Disability Service Office works collaboratively with the Academic Enhancement Center (AEC) to facilitate testing accommodations for students with an identified disability. All exams requiring additional time or a distraction free environment must be scheduled by a faculty member through the Academic Enhancement Center.
