Combine Four Disciplines To Cast A Wide Net of Expertise

Overview

More than a sampling, Social Studies lets you spread your education across a number of fields to help you better understand the many layers that make up our society.

Social Studies is an integrated major that permits students to enter into association with four disciplines: economics, history, political science, and sociology. Social Studies majors enter law, government service, teaching, banking, and other professions.

Successful completion of a senior thesis is a requirement for graduation.

Resistance at Tule Lake with Director Konrad Aderer

Forced from their homes simply because of their ancestry, more than 110,000 Japanese Americans were forced into World War II internment camps, but many resisted, leading to more severe punishments for 12,000 prisoners. Reporter (Currents) and filmmaker Konrad Aderer came to St. Francis College October 19, 2017 to tell that long-suppressed story in his new documentary Resistance at Tule Lake.
