Library Basics - Web Evaluation

Is using the web for research good or bad?

Why take the time to go through all these steps?

  • Unlike books and journals, web pages do not go through any selection process.
  • The quality of the content on web pages varies a LOT.
  • It isn't always clear what the persons motivation was for creating  the web page.
  • It doesn't take too long, and will soon become second nature to you.
