USF Nursing Students Win Campaigns for
National Student Nursing Association, Receive Accolades
April 7, 2008, Fort Wayne, Indiana:
Jenna Sanders and Grant Tyler, both senior BSN students
at the University of Saint Francis, have won their
campaigns for national office in the National Student
Nurses Association (NSNA). Jenna won the office for
president of the organization and Grant as NSNA Director
North.
In addition, Kari Nellans, a junior
BSN, gave a “national” poster presentation and
resolution in the House of Delegates at the national
convention. Afterward, she was approached by professors,
authors and students from across the country to discuss
her experience and findings.
During the closing ceremonies of
the convention, USF received the precious metal award
for the sixth year in a row for most members, and
Indiana was recognized as a state with large NSNA
membership growth. Sixteen students from USF served as
delegates in house at the national convention.
