School of Creative Arts’ Students Showcased at the University of Saint Francis
February 20, 2008, Fort Wayne,
Indiana: The School of Creative Arts will host the
opening of the 32nd Annual Student Art Exhibit and SOCA
Student Awards Ceremony on Saturday, April 5 from 6 p.m.
to 9 p.m. in the Weatherhead and Lupke Galleries at the
University of Saint Francis.
This exhibition will display
artwork and feature musical performances by students
studying in the School of Creative Arts. More than 1,000
pieces will be exhibited throughout the Rolland Center
and University galleries. Performances by the University
Jazz Ensemble will take place in the North Campus
auditorium (2702 Spring Street).
During the opening, a ceremony will
honor the very best student artists represented in the
exhibition as well as award scholarships to specific
students for high achievement in the arts. The award
presentation will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the North Campus
auditorium.
The exhibition will run through
April 27. The gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 9
a.m. to 5 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Sunday,
1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
