As Pope Francis makes his first trip as Pontiff to the United States, St. Francis College celebrates its annual St. Clare & St. Francis Week with a special focus on "Care for Creation" beginning Thursday, September 24 with a kick-off party and running through October 5 with a special lecture, "When Saint Francis Saved the Church."

The Man Who Walked Away helped Maud Casey walk away with $50,000 as the winner of the 2015 St. Francis College Literary Prize, one of the richest book prizes in the United States. Casey's win was announced Saturday night at the Irondale Center during the opening gala for the 10th Annual Brooklyn Book Festival.

From 130 to six, the short list is out for the $50,000 St. Francis College Literary Prize, one of the richest literary awards in the United States. Authors on the 2015 shortlist are:

With a grade of A- from Money Magazine, St. Francis College was again recognized on the magazines Best College's List. The recognition comes in the same week that St. Francis was selected as one of America's Top Colleges by Forbes, the eighth year in a row the College has made that list.
