Tom Brokaw

Tom Brokaw has spent his entire distinguished journalism career with NBC News beginning in 1966 in the Los Angeles bureau where he covered Ronald Reagan’s first run for public office, the rise of the Sixties counter culture, the assassination of Bobby Kennedy and the 1968 presidential campaign. He later became anchor and managing editor of NBC Nightly News with Tom Brokaw.

Honoree Spotlight

Ken Daly

Kenneth D. Daly '88 is President of National Grid, New York, which provides electricity and natural gas to four million customers in and around New York City. Mr. Daly joined National Grid’s predecessor, Brooklyn Union, which later became KeySpan, in 1988 as a Management Trainee. He has held numerous positions in Finance, Human Resources and Customer Relations throughout his 25 year career.

Charter Award Dinner

The Charter Award Dinner began in 1962 by the St. Francis Board of Trustees to commemorate New York State granting the College a charter and the right to confer diplomas, honors and degrees. For 50 years, the Charter Award Dinner has been the College’s premier fundraising event and has raised millions of dollars to support scholarships programs and further the educational mission at St. Francis.

St. Francis College's 54th Annual Charter Award Dinner was held on Tuesday, April 29th, 2015 at the New York Marriott Marquis in Times Square. 

This year St. Francis College honored:

David D. Smith '64, Chairman, General Atlantic Group Limited and
Louis G. Pastina ‘79, Retired Executive Vice Pesident, NYSE Operations
