David D. Smith

David D. Smith '64 serves as Chairman of the business investment division of the General Atlantic Group Limited (GAGL). Over his 28 year career with GAGL, Smith has acquired, managed, and harvested more than 25 companies throughout the world and across a wide spectrum of industries including real estate development in New York and San Francisco, health clubs in California, resorts in Asia, retail in Hawaii and early stage pharmaceutical development. 

Honoree Spotlight

Ken Daly

Louis Pastina '79 recently retired from the NYSE where he spent the previous 31 years, most recently as Executive Vice President of NYSE Operations. In this capacity Lou directed NYSE operations including technology and business strategy. He managed the NYSE iconic trading floor through major events including Hurricane Sandy, the financial meltdowns of 2008, and the 2010 Flash Crash.

Charter Award Dinner

The Charter Award Dinner began in 1962 by the St. Francis Board of Trustees to commemorate New York State granting the College a charter and the right to confer diplomas, honors and degrees. For 50 years, the Charter Award Dinner has been the College’s premier fundraising event and has raised millions of dollars to support scholarships programs and further the educational mission at St. Francis.

St. Francis College's 54th Annual Charter Award Dinner will be held on Tuesday, April 29th, 2015 at the New York Marriott Marquis in Times Square. 

This year St. Francis College will honor:

Louis G. Pastina ‘79, Retired Executive Vice Pesident, NYSE Operations
