Accounting & Business Law
What a Degree in Accounting and Business Law Can Do for You
With strong job growth projected for the next several years, accounting is currently one of America’s hottest career fields. The Accounting and Business Law Department at St. Francis College offers several programs designed to provide all management and accounting majors with the appropriate skills, knowledge and abilities for professional success and career advancement.
Most of our students enroll in the combined BS/MS degree program, which meets the requirements to sit for the CPA examination. Students who already possess a BS degree in a related business field can apply to enroll in our new MS degree program in Professional Accounting.
Our programs prepare students for careers in public accounting, private accounting (corporate), or not-for-profit accounting (government agencies, foundations and associations such as hospitals, religious organizations and arts groups). Our internship programs help students gain the practical experience they’ll need to become successful members of today’s business world.
St. Francis College alumni currently hold jobs at all of the Big Four accounting firms (Deloitte, Ernst & Young, PricewaterhouseCoopers, KPMG) and many mid-size accounting firms. Some notable alumni who graduated from the St. Francis College accounting program include:
