Narrated by actor Nichelle Nichols, Hotter Than Blue  deals with the life cycles and characteristics of extreme
stars. These are stars that are so hot that they emit most of their “light” or energy in the ultraviolet, x and gamma  ray region of the electromagnetic spectrum. NASA  scientists discuss specialized instruments and satellites  needed to study these stars. Explores temperature  relationships to color and other processes at work in  Supernovae, Gamma Ray Bursters, Black Holes, and  Flare Stars.
