USF and Midwestern University (in Chicago) have teamed up to offer a dual acceptance program in pharmacy. Upon acceptance, students may complete an associate degree at USF over two years providing them the core science courses. The remaining courses are taken at Midwestern University in Chicago resulting in a Doctorate in Pharmacy (PharmD).
The department of Social Work is home to the only introductory Forensic Social Work minor in the country.
Our Environmental Science program is uniquely field-based. Students can travel to Andros Island in the Bahamas, the Appalachian Mountains or the Grand Canyon for CLASS! Every class has a field component and many students use those opportunities for their own research projects.
The seventh annual USF Zoo Day Alumni Association event will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2010 at the Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo. The Zoo hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the cost is $9 for adults and seniors (60 and over), $6 for children ages 2 to 14, and children under 2 are free. Price includes one complimentary ride on one of the following: train, sky ride, carousel, or river ride. The USF lunch and activities will be located at the Foellinger Theater lawn area. A complimentary lunch will be served from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (turkey sandwich, chips, fruit, drink, and cookie). Activities including balloon artists, caricatures, airbrush tattoos, carnival-type games and more will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tickets must be obtained through the University of Saint Francis and cannot be purchased at the zoo. $1 lawn seat tickets are available for the 3:05pm game on September 6th. Tickets will be available for purchase during the following times: Thursday 8/26 between 1 & 5PM, Friday 8/27 between 1 & 5PM, Monday 8/30 between 1 & 6PM, Tuesday 8/31 1-5PM, Wednesday 9/1 between 9 & 11AM or 3 & 6PM or Thursday 9/2 between 10AM and noon. See Melissa Reesman or an SAC Coordinator to purchase your tickets. Two tickets/USF student with a current ID. Quantities limited. You must buy your tickets with USF to get the $1 rate.
The university has joined more than 300 college campuses across the United States in going completely "Tobacco Free." All campus buildings, residence halls, athletic facilities, parking lots, walkways, and grounds will be included in the policy. Learn more...
