Dr. Beam serves as the Chairperson of the Department of Biology, Chairperson of Academic Council and Three Rivers Science Symposium Coordinator. Dr. Beam teaches Microbiology, Genetics, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, and Virology and is a previous recipient of the University of Saint Francis Excellence in Teaching Award.
Research Interests:
Dr. Beam's interests lie in genetic transformation technologies, educational initiatives with undergraduates, and STEM collaborative programs with elementary and secondary schools.
