Technology Security and Compliance
The Technology Security and Compliance (TSC) division of UTS is responsible for the development and maintenance of the university's information technology security policies. This division works collaboratively with other UTS divisions as well as with all university departments to implement appropriate procedures and policies for an effective university-wide IT security program. TSC also manages university software license agreements and contracts.
Security Awareness Tip of the Month:
Don't plug in a "found" USB drive! Criminals often conveniently lose a flash drive or disk, counting on a person's natural curiousity to plug it into their computer and see what's on it. Often these disks are loaded with malicious software that is set to self load onto the unsuspecting person's machine as soon as it's plugged in. Beware next time you see that free flash drive in laying around in the parking lot.
