Online Registration

Steps for a smooth Registration

Step 1: Visit your major advisor online or in person prior to your registration appointment.

Your advisor will guide you through the course selection process to meet the requirements of your major and then release your Registration Hold. On your assigned date you may register online, not before. Please log into WebAdvisor via TerrierWeb for your advisor’s contact information.

Step 2: Remove additional holds.

All outstanding holds must be cleared prior to your registration appointment. . Information on outstanding holds is included in you registration appointment letter which will be emailed to you. Holds may prevent you from registering at your appointed time. Contact the Office of the Registrar for information on outstanding holds.

Step 3: Register online.

At your assigned date and time, go to TerrierWeb and follow the posted instructions to register online. Remember, you can register at any time after your assigned date but not before. Please note some courses require written departmental approval. For those courses, you must fill out a drop/add form and obtain the appropriate signature(s). Bring the signed form to the Office of the Registrar and we will register you for that specific course. You may still register for all of your other courses online.

Interested students contact and obtain program approval from  Dr. Ian Maloney or Dr. Francis Greene.

Finding Courses

You can search for courses in two ways.

1.      Use tools on TerrierWeb

Using Search for Sections or Search and Register for Sections allows you to search for specific courses at specific times. Search and Register for Sections allows you to make a list of courses in which you are interested. You can then register for those course at your appointed time.

2.      You can view the list of offerings in the Class Schedule.

Registration Appointment

Registration appointments are assigned to current SFC students based on the number of earned credits. The Office of the Registrar notifies students of their registration appointment time. Your registration appointment time is the earliest time you are allowed to register. The registration appointment is not your advisor appointment time. You should receive advisement prior to your appointment time to ensure a smooth registration.

Important

Announcements regarding registration are sent via email to all students. Please review your personal information on TerrierWeb and update your address, email and phone information with the Office of the Registrar as necessary. Also remember to check (and print) your schedule before the semester begins so that you can be up to date regarding current room assignments.

Payment

All students are bound by the payment due date (determined by your initial registration date). By registering for classes, you are accepting responsibility for paying all tuition and fees associated with your approved semester registration. It is your responsibility to ensure that satisfactory payment requirements are made by the designated due date. In all cases, payments received after the deadline may result in additional penalties. Please notify the Registrar, in writing, prior to the first date of the semester if you will not be attending. Please review the Academic Calendar for specific dates of importance.

If you have not paid for a course that you are taking, your registration is subject to cancellation. To discuss payment plans and options, please contact the Office of Student Financial Services at (718) 489-5255.
