Purpose: To act as a sounding board for all student interests, while at the same time assuming the task of providing efficient and productive leadership for the student body.

Goal: To facilitate student communication, to coordinate and encourage student participation, to provide means for responsible and effective student participation in appropriate decision-making processes of the College, to further student welfare and interests, to ensure justice for all students, and to coordinate all of these into one main objective - that of a more complete educational experience."Don't worry when you are not recognized, but strive to be worthy of recognition.” ~ Abraham Lincoln
All recipients are chosen by the Student Awards Committee. The general fields of eligibility are as follows:
  • The Bene Merenti Award – Students who have Improved their GPA
  • The Erinn Siemer Fighting Spirit Award – Student Athletes
  • JFK Award – Graduating Seniors
  • JFK Award for Evening Students – Graduating Evening Students
  • Franciscan Spirit Award – Juniors, Seniors, Faculty, Administrators, Staff, and Benefactors
  • Dean John Clifford Memorial Award – Graduating Seniors
  • Thomas Ashton Memorial Award – Student Government Officials
  • New Student Leader Award – Freshmen and Sophomores
