Presently a Clinical Lecturer of Nursing Donna Agoncillo, a member of Sigma Theta Tau, joined St Francis College faculty in the Fall of 2016 as a Nursing Adjunct. Professor Agoncillo has been a professional nurse for 33 years and a Nurse Educator for 13 years and brings to the classroom and clinical settings a rich history of professional bedside, critical care and community health nursing care experiences, as well as the promotion of student learning through interactive simulation scenarios such as rapid response, mock code, and end of life.
As a secular Franciscan Professor Agoncillo, OFS, believes that successful learning is a unique and dynamic process best achieved through student faculty partnerships, that emulate the Franciscan virtues of Service, Fidelity and Compassion.
Professor Agoncillo committed to care for all people and has a genuine passion for Community Health Nursing She has completed a certification course In Faith Community Nursing ( Parish Nursing ), and has received a certificate of Appreciation for her service to the FDNY World trade Center Health Program where she worked as a on call case management nurse for several years. Professor Agoncillo’s future goals it to be come certified in holistic practice and eventually pursue a Doctor of Nursing Practice.
