Originally from Costa Rica, Professor Ricardo Maxwell-Ordain has 13 years of experience playing high level professional soccer. He has achieved notable achievements including all-conference at St. Francis College, where he was selected captain during his senior year. Subsequently recruited by Long Island University, where his club was the North East Conference Soccer champion in 2004-2005.
Professor Maxwell-Ordain was nominated as the school's male athlete of the year for his contributions to both their soccer and track & field squads. His professional career included playing in the USL for the Charlotte Eagles and playing a key role in the club earning the 2005 National Championship Title. Afterwards, he played for various clubs including the Long Island Rough Riders, Westchester Flames and Yonkers' Portuguese FC.
His education includes a Master's degree in Exercise Physiology, a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education as well as the NSCAA National Youth Diploma and ATFA FIFA 'A' Licence.
Professor Maxwell-Ordain is entering his fourth year as an adjunct professor at St. Francis College. He teaches Physical Education courses such as soccer, Biomechanics, and Fitness classes.
