St. Francis College is pleased to announce the addition of Ana Oliveira, Senior Vice President, New York Market Executive at Investors Bank and Board Chair of the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce, to its Board of Trustees.

"Ana is a familiar face to many of us at St. Francis College already, having been a partner in mission by lending her time and expertise so selflessly to our students, alumni and friends over the years," said President Miguel Martinez-Saenz. "I was privileged to award her our Pace e Bene Award in 2019, in recognition of her generosity and good works. I'm endlessly impressed by Ana's astute business leadership and her championing of women in all professional environments. She will continue to enrich our work tremendously. Along with the entire Board, I'm thrilled to welcome her."

In her current Investors Bank position, Oliveira oversees 48 branches in the New York market. She joined the company in 2010 when the Bank acquired Millennium bcpbank where she was serving as a Regional Manager in the Retail division.

Prior, Oliveira held positions at Penn Federal Savings Bank which was acquired by Garden State Community Bank (a division of NYCB) in 2007, where she served as First Vice President and Regional Manager in Northern New Jersey.

"I'm enthusiastic about joining the Board of Trustees of St. Francis College because I know the school helps encourage, motivate and guide students to achieve their potential in life," said Oliveira. "To that end, I hope to share my insights about the skills and abilities that companies and communities are seeking from our next generation of leaders. St. Francis College is serving New York City and the wider world in many ways by producing exceptional graduates, and it's important to me that the College has the resources to meet each student's needs."

Oliveira places a strong focus on serving the local communities in her New York market. She serves on the Board of Trustees of Futures in Education and the Board of Directors at the JCC of Staten Island. She has previously served on the Board of Directors for the Queens Theatre, New Jersey City University Foundation and the Portuguese American Chamber of Commerce in NJ (PACCNJ). In addition, she served as the Treasurer of the Portuguese American Congress (PAC) of NJ.

Oliveira's numerous professional accolades speak to her leadership and dedication to civic responsibility. In 2019, Schneps Media recognized her with a Women of Wall Street (W.O.W.) Award for her influence in the banking and finance industry. She received the "Neighbor of the Year" Award from the North Brooklyn Angels in March of 2019. In 2017, City & State honored Oliveira with its Community-Corporate Responsibility Award. In 2016, the Federation of Italian American Organizations named her its Business Woman of the Year. Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams presented Oliveira with the Brooklyn Business Cornerstones Award in 2015. She has been the past recipient of the Women's History Celebration Award from the Greater Chamber of New York and was also recognized as a Brooklyn Woman of Distinction by that organization.

Oliveira graduated from East Side High School in Newark, New Jersey before earning her BA in English and Journalism from New Jersey City University.

Oliveira is the third new Trustee to join the College in the 2020-21 academic year. In September 2020, the College announced the appointments of Arkell Cox and Charles D. Smith Jr. to the Board.
