St. Francis College will kick off the 2021-22 academic year with a convocation ceremony and block party that welcomes new and returning students to a campus that is largely open for in-person activities again.

The convocation will feature President Miguel Martinez-Saenz, Ph.D. and other College leaders formally welcoming first-year and transfer students into the Terrier family. The ceremony will also include an awards presentation honoring faculty and staff achievements as well as those of student clubs.

In the afternoon, the College will host its Terrier Tuesday Block Party, an annual outdoor celebration in appreciation of new students that precedes the start fall semester. SFC community members enjoy food, games, music, a student club fair, and the camaraderie and spirit that defines the Terrier family.

Between those two events, the College will hold Town Halls with students, faculty and staff, for discussion and question-and-answer sessions with College leaders.

Beginning with the start of the fall 2021 semester on September 8, St. Francis College will once again instruct most of its courses in-person on campus, host live on-campus events, and re-open the cafeteria, library and other campus facilities for normal use. Campus activities have been largely suspended since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020.

The College requires all students and employees submit COVID-19 proof of vaccination to enter any College buildings in the fall 2021 semester, and to participate in convocation and the Terrier Tuesday Block Party. Face masks are required inside College buildings.
