Program overview:

A minor in Literature, Writing, and Publishing enables students with other majors to gain the insights and understanding that a systematic exposure to literature provides. The writing, digital media, and critical thinking skills developed in LWP classes can be profitably applied in any professional area, especially the social sciences, communications, education, and medicine.

PROGRAM LEARNING OBJECTIVES

PLO 1: Organize thoughts into sentences and paragraphs with clear structure using forceful and energetic prose
PLO 2: Examine multiple identities and communities in personal and global contexts through the study of diverse literature and experiences.
PLO 3: Demonstrate competence in multimodal forms of written expression.
PLO 4: Employ a set of skills in publishing, analytical, research-driven, and creative writing.
