Alumni and Friends
Welcome to the St. Francis College Office of Advancement.
“The McGuire Scholarship represents opportunity in every sense of the word. When it came time to apply for college, I knew it would be a financial stretch to attend a private school. I applied to SFC; a few weeks later I received a call informing me that I qualified for a new scholarship created by the owner of the NY Mets!"
St. Francis College's 5th Giving Tuesday raised more than $160,000 from more than 550 donors.
On December 5th, Artist Daphne Arthur will lead a discussion about her life and work at the closing reception for St. Francis College's Mirror Mirror on the Wall..., an exhibition of contemporary portraiture, figure drawing and sculpture by established and emerging artists from the Lise Curry Art Collection.
On Giving Tuesday, St. Francis College alumni, faculty, staff, students, and friends are asked to donate to SFC's Fund for St. Francis – the College's annual fundraising campaign -- and to spread the word for others to do the same. This year's initiative, the College's 5th year participating, is supported by an anonymous matching-dollar commitment up to $50,000.
The Professor John J. McCabe '65 Lecture Series Part 2: A Conversation with Jason Calacanis took place on Tuesday, November 19, at Morgan Stanley's headquarters. The lecture series exposes the St. Francis community to perspectives on financial topics from leaders and innovators in the world of finance and economics.
I chose St Francis because I needed a radical change. I wanted a school that had a Division I athletic program where I could build my athletic career and foster a successful academic career. I wanted a school that provided easy access to professors and one with a tight knit, helpful culture.
“A goal of mine is to pay St. Francis back for the scholarship Brother George gave me. Part of that is with contributions, but what I enjoy most is working with the students.”
"As an Endowed Scholarship recipient I have learned so much about the spirit of giving. It's not about what we can do for ourselves. It's about what we can do for others and our community."
