2025 Robert J. McGuire Scholarship Jacket and Coin Ceremony

On Monday May 5, St. Francis College proudly hosted the 2025 Robert J. McGuire Scholarship Jacket and Coin Ceremony, a powerful celebration of academic achievement, leadership, and the enduring values of service and community.
We extend our deepest gratitude to Anthony Desiderio, Assistant Dean of Academic Support Services and Opportunity Programs, whose vision, care, and steadfast leadership continue to shape and elevate the McGuire Scholars Program. His commitment to empowering first-generation and underrepresented students has helped build a community rooted in support, opportunity, and excellence.
Special thanks as well to Shakima M. Clency, PhD and the Kessler Scholars Consortium for their ongoing support and collaboration in advancing student success.
A highlight of the ceremony was the meaningful tradition of upperclassmen McGuire Scholars presenting jackets and challenge coins to those who successfully completed their first year—an exchange that reflects the strength of mentorship and legacy within this extraordinary community. We also honored our graduating McGuire Scholars, who received the distinguished Kessler Scholars Lapel Pin to wear proudly at commencement, symbolizing their journey and success.
Congratulations to all of our 2025 McGuire Scholars—we are so proud of your achievements and excited for your continued journey.
