Celebrating 142 Years of Excellence at St. Francis College

Celebrating 142 Years of Excellence at St. Francis College
In May 2025, St. Francis College proudly marked the 142nd anniversary of receiving its Charter and 166 years of Franciscan education in Brooklyn—a legacy deeply rooted in service, scholarship, and community.
To honor these milestones, the College hosted its annual Charter Day Convocation. We were honored to welcome Yadira Ramos-Herbert ’02, Mayor of New Rochelle and proud SFC alumna, as our keynote speaker. Her inspiring remarks reflected on the strength of the SFC community and the enduring values of leadership, service, and giving back.
The evening also recognized several important contributions to the life of the College, including:
- The induction of new members into the Duns Scotus Honor Society
- Academic award recipients from the Class of 2025
- Faculty and staff celebrating 15 and 25 years of dedicated service
Thank you to all who joined us in celebrating the past, present, and future of St. Francis College.
