I believe the best nursing educators continue to learn alongside their students. As a Clinical Assistant Professor and Course Coordinator for Fundamentals of Nursing at St. Francis College, I am passionate about helping future nurses build confidence, think critically, and provide compassionate, evidence-based care. My goal is to create a learning environment where students feel supported while developing the clinical judgment and professionalism needed to care for patients in today’s complex healthcare settings.
In addition to teaching, I continue to practice as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department at NYU Langone Hospital–Brooklyn, a Level I Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center, and at Atria Health and Research Institute, where I provide care within a preventive medicine model focused on personalized health and wellness. These experiences allow me to bring current clinical practice directly into the classroom while remaining engaged with the latest evidence and advances in patient care. One of the accomplishments I am most proud of was serving as a Magnet Ambassador at NYU Langone Hospital–Brooklyn. In 2022, I was part of the team that helped our hospital achieve Magnet® designation, and it remains the only hospital in Brooklyn to hold this prestigious recognition. I am currently pursuing my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at Grand Canyon University, where my scholarly interests focus on evidence-based practice, nursing education, novice nurse development, resilience, patient safety, and improving patient outcomes.
