Program Overview:

The Bachelor of Science in Management at St. Francis College combines a comprehensive business education with hands-on learning experiences that begin in the first semester. Students put classroom insights into action through applied coursework, internships with local companies, and real-world opportunities that prepare them to succeed in their careers, their communities, and beyond.

Designed for students with diverse professional interests, the program provides the flexibility to explore multiple business disciplines while building expertise aligned with individual career goals.

Through coursework in management, economics, marketing, business analytics, finance, and related fields, students develop the knowledge and practical skills needed to drive organizational success, solve complex business challenges, and adapt to today’s rapidly evolving marketplace.

Why Study Business Management?

The Management major prepares students to become effective professionals capable of making informed, ethical, and strategic business decisions. Students gain a solid understanding of core business functions while strengthening their analytical, creative, and communication abilities.

The curriculum emphasizes practical problem-solving, critical thinking, and responsible management practices, enabling graduates to succeed in organizations of every size and across a wide range of industries. Students also have the opportunity to customize their education by selecting a concentration that supports their professional interests and long-term career aspirations.

Degree Requirements

All Management majors complete a comprehensive business core that provides a strong foundation across the major functional areas of business. Coursework introduces students to the principles and practices of accounting, economics, finance, marketing, management, business law, and information systems while developing quantitative, communication, and leadership skills. Students also develop strategic fluency in AI-enabled business practices and learn to integrate emerging trends and technologies into their work, helping them stay ahead of change and keep their professional practice current.

After completing the business core, students select one concentration that allows them to develop specialized knowledge in a particular area of business.
