Program overview:
The Sociology, Concentration in Social Work, B.A. prepares students to understand social problems, human behavior, families, communities, and the social forces that shape people’s lives. Students develop critical thinking and research skills while exploring issues such as inequality, social justice, law, and community well-being.
The concentration provides focused preparation for careers and graduate study in social work and human services. Students gain practical experience through Social Work Practicum I and II, connecting classroom learning with real-world professional settings. The program provides a strong foundation for graduate study in social work as well as entry-level work in social and community services.
