Program overview
The Sports Management Minor introduces students to the business and organizational aspects of the sports industry. Designed to complement a wide range of majors, the program provides foundational knowledge of how sports organizations operate, including areas such as marketing, event management, sports administration, and business strategy.
Students explore the structure and management of professional, collegiate, and recreational sports organizations while learning about the economic, social, and promotional factors that shape the sports industry. The curriculum emphasizes leadership, communication, and strategic decision-making within sports-related environments.
The Sports Management Minor prepares students to pursue opportunities in sports organizations, athletic administration, event management, and related industries, while developing transferable skills in management, marketing, and organizational leadership.
