Many think a quality, private college experience can only come at a high price, but we are proud to say that St. Francis College offers one of the most affordable, private college educations in New York City. Ninety-nine percent of our students receive some form of financial aid; including institutional scholarships and grants, federal and state grants, and federal student loans.
Financial Aid:
The first crucial step in the financial aid process is completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This will help St. Francis College determine your financial aid eligibility. Applying online at www.studentaid.gov for FAFSA and www.hesc.ny.gov for NYSTAP is the fastest and easiest way to complete your financial aid application.

Scholarships at SFC
Scholarships are one of the most attractive forms of financial aid because they do not have to be repaid. St. Francis College awards institutionally funded scholarships and grants to students who demonstrate strong academic performance. All scholarships are annual and renewable.
Academic Scholarships
The SFC academic scholarship is offered to all eligible students. Once a student is fully accepted, they will be offered a scholarship ranging from $11,500- $13,500.
Commuter Scholarship
St. Francis College offers a $500 Commuter Scholarship to support all students, helping make a quality education even more affordable. Start your journey with us and save on your commute!
Faith-Based Scholarship
The SFC Faith-Based Scholarship is for students who attend a faith-based institution. The scholarship is awarded upon acceptance of $500.
Legacy Scholarship
The Legacy Scholarship was created in memory of Brother George Larkin who served as Director of Admissions for 38 years and welcomed many of us into the world and family of SFC. Current SFC students and alumni can refer a prospective student to the admissions office.
Any prospective student who comes through this referral program can receive a $500 scholarship.
Visit Scholarship
Students who attend an event at St. Francis College—such as Open House, Admitted Student Day, Scholarship Day, or Academic Showcase Days—receive an additional $500 scholarship for participating. With a maximum of $2,000 in Visit Scholarships available, SFC makes pursuing your education more financially attainable.

Robert J. McGuire Scholarship (add RJM Landing page link)
This program provides economic opportunities, workforce readiness to first-generation college students, and has graduated over 100 scholars. Our scholars are prepared to pursue careers in their desired fields with motivation to become leaders in their community, and with aspirations of creating positive change.
Cabrini Scholarship
St. Francis College is proud to partner with the Mother Cabrini Health Foundation in facing the ongoing nursing shortage in New York State and the nation, with a steadfast commitment to promoting a healthier New York City. The Mother Cabrini Nursing Scholarship at St. Francis College offers financial assistance to nursing students, with a focus on those from high-achieving, low-income or historically excluded backgrounds.
Alumni Grad-itude Tuition Discount Program
The Alumni Grad-itude Tuition Discount Program is open to any SFC alumni who:
- - Is in good standing with the college
- - Has completed a bachelor's degree and/or master's degree
- - Is an active member of the SFC alumni community
Alumni who meet these requirements will be eligible to pay just $475 per credit for both undergraduate and graduate degree programs.
Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Scholarship
Special consideration is given to full-time transfer students who hold membership in Phi Theta Kappa and meet the established requirements of a 3.5 GPA with 60 accepted transfer credits upon entry to St. Francis College. The Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship is available for students entering St. Francis College in both the fall and spring semesters. Recipients will receive at least $10,000 scholarship.
