Join Dr. Brian' Gregory's COM-4998 class for a special workshop on building business skills as a creator with two guest speakers.

Part one: Dr. Marie Segares shares her entrepreneurial story and discusses how to think like an entrepreneur, creator and artist. Dr. Marie Segares is the Director of the M.S. in Management Program at St. Francis College. She is also a thriving arts entrepreneur, crafter, and well-known social media influencer with more than 8000 followers on Instagram. As the proprietress of Underground Crafter, Dr. Segares turned her passion for crochet and knitting into a business.

Part two: Prof. Katja Schroeder shares how she has helped authors, filmmakers, and app creators go to market and promote their work as a marketing communications consultant for global agencies. She will discuss steps to develop a marketing and audience engagement strategy that approaches creative work as a product/service in today's experience economy.

This workshop is part of the #BuildYourBrand event series hosted by the SFC Center for Entrepreneurship in collaboration with the Management and IT and the Media and Communication departments.
