St. Francis College graduates

Congratulations Class of 2021!

Mark your calendars for Thursday, May 20, 2021, when St. Francis College will host an in-person commencement ceremony at the Ford Amphitheater in Coney Island.  

All graduates and guests will need to adhere to the venue’s safety protocols, outlined below. The day’s activities will be livestreamed online. 

Along with our spring 2021 graduates, members of our spring 2020 and winter 2021 graduating classes are invited to take part. 

To participate, graduates must register by May 1, 2021: 

Participants must order their caps and gowns by April 16, 2021. They will need to submit height, weight, major, and degree earned. 

Baccalaureate Mass 
Graduates and the entire St. Francis College community are invited to join an online baccalaureate mass in honor of our graduates.

Senior Portraits 
Graduates who want senior portraits can book online with Thorton Studios in Manhattan at 210 West 29th Street, 3rd Floor, New York, NY 10001. Appointments available Monday to Friday between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Commencement Venue Entry Requirements 
All graduates and guests must complete a health survey and temperature check before entering the Ford Amphitheater. They also must provide one of the following:  

  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination that is at least 14 days from the event.  Your event attendance must be 14 days after your single dose of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine or 14 days after your second dose of the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine.
  • Proof of negative antigen COVID-19 test taken within SIX (6) hours of the event’s start time.
  • Proof of a negative PCR COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of the event’s start time. 

Ford Amphitheater will accept documents directly from healthcare providers, hard copy or electronic.  The venue will also accept New York State Excelsior Pass.  Please note, you do not have to be a resident of New York to use the Excelsior Pass.  For more information, visit: https://epass.ny.gov.  

All graduates and guests entering Ford Amphitheater will need to present a government issued ID.  Those younger than 18 years old may use a school ID, locally-issued ID, birth certificate or passport.  The ID needs to match your COVID-19 negative test results or vaccination records. 

Masks are required to enter the venue.  Masks must be on at all times except when actively eating while sitting in a chair.  Neck gators and other face coverings will not be accepted.   

Graduates and guests are expected to remain socially distanced inside the venue at all times.
