Meet the Students of SFC - Open House - Sunday, Oct. 23

New Web Series and Open House Introduce Students to the World

When prospective college students come to the St. Francis College Open House this Sunday, October 23 from 10:00am to 2:00pm, they'll be able to meet the professors and administrators that will be teaching and guiding them if they choose to attend. But for some, more importantly, they'll meet the students who will be their classmates; examples of all that's possible while studying at St. Francis College.

The College is located at 180 Remsen Street in Brooklyn Heights.

Evelyn Bedoya '17 is enrolled in the five year combined Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Accounting. Originally from Columbia, Evelyn came to the United States when she was 10, speaking only Spanish. Now she is a member of the College's Duns Scotus Honor Society and on track for an excellent job in the accounting field. (See Evelyn's Story)


Andrea Couchon '18 is studying to be a nurse in the College's four-year undergraduate BSN program. Having first practiced in the Sim Lab where a series of animatronic robots mimic a limitless amount of diseases and ailments, Couchon is now working clinical shifts at Bellevue Hospital. Stefan Ivanovic '18 is working towards a double major in Economics and Business Management. He says that when he talks to his friends, he realizes that his life at St. Francis is unique because of the small community which has embraced and welcomed him. He says the personalized attention from professors is unique among his peers. (See Stefan's Story)


Other St. Francis students are also trying to introduce their classmates to a wider audience. Freshman Miranda Stark '20 ha begun a new webs series, Students of SFC, that features short profiles of a variety of undergraduate and graduate students at the College. He first profile features Maria Ramadhi '20 a freshman who comes to St. Francis from Greece. (Watch #StudentsofSFC)


In addition to meeting with professors and students at Sunday's Open House, visitors will be about to speak with financial aid representatives and learn about the generous scholarship opportunities, tour campus, an visit the off-campus residence hall.
