SFC Ranked 6th Best Regional College - North by College Consensus
College Consensus Looks at Rankings and Student Reviews
Putting together rankings from various publishers and student reviews from a variety of sources, the organization, College Consensus, has named St. Francis College as the 6th Best Regional College in the North.
In an attempt to feature colleges that other rankings may overlook, College Consensus says it examines everything from academic reputation to student satisfaction, from social mobility to affordability, writing on its website, "College Consensus' ranking of the Best Regional Colleges-North recognizes the undergraduate colleges that do the job of preparing an educated workforce."
"Making a list that recognizes our mission and work is an acknowledgment of the effort put forth by the faculty, students and administrators at St. Francis College," said President Miguel Martinez-Saenz. "But what is more meaningful is what our students do with their education. Their success is our biggest reward."
Among those students are:
Melissa Jagharry '18, who is taking full advantage of her St. Francis College education. With a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Accounting, she points to weekly meetings of the Accounting Society with fellow Accounting majors and the influence of her professors for setting her on the road to her CPA and a job with mid-sized accounting firm Mazars USA LLP.
Just a few months after he graduated, Dillon O'Sullivan passed his NCLEX Nursing Certification Exam and immediately began working at New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. His classmates have gotten job across the city at hospitals and institutions including; NYU, Maimonides Medical Center, Visiting Nurse Services, and several others (See his story and others at sfc.edu/2018video).
