SFC Students Strongly Encouraged to Get Covid-19 Vaccine

The COVID-19 vaccine is now readily available throughout New York, for everyone age 16 and older. People who live outside of the state but work or study in New York are also eligible to get vaccinated.

The College strongly encourages all students to get vaccinated against COVID-19 as soon as possible in preparation for the fall 2021 semester.

If you haven't already, get your COVID-19 vaccine right way!

Why Get Vaccinated?

All COVID-19 vaccines currently available in the U.S. have been shown to be safe and effective at preventing COVID-19, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

How Do I Get Vaccinated?

SFC community members can be vaccinated through a New York City or New York State administered site or through an authorized vaccination site, including hospitals and pharmacies.

Contact your healthcare provider, or you can use one of these options to receive your vaccination. Rest assured, it's quick and easy:

  • Drop by a NYC walk-in vaccination site. No appointment needed.
  • Schedule an appointment at a NYC or New York State vaccination site. Many of these sites also allow walk-ins.
    • New York State: schedule online or call 833-697-4829
    • New York City: schedule online or call 877-829-4692
  • Schedule an appointment online at a local pharmacy:
  • Visit one of the many other places offering vaccines around the city. You can find vaccination sites near you by texting your zip code to 438829 and you can search for vaccination appointments in your area on NYC Vaccine List.

Join the #VaccineNY awareness campaign by posting a selfie with your vaccine sticker or a custom-made SFC vaccine sticker to your social media accounts using the hashtag #VaccineNY.

Let's take care of ourselves, each other and our entire community by getting vaccinated as soon as possible.

Wishing you and your family good health and happiness.
