u.s.news Names St. Francis Among Best Regional Colleges in North

Student Body Also 5th Most Diverse Among Regional Colleges

Just a few days after being named to the Forbes.com America’s Best Colleges List, U.S.News & World Report has selected St. Francis College as one of the Best Regional Colleges in the North, with an additional accolade for being the 5th most diverse Regional College in the North.

“We’ve been recognized by U.S.News for several years now,” said St. Francis College President Brendan J. Dugan ’68. “Our consistency in making the grade is a testament to all of our hard-working faculty, staff and administrators. They strive everyday to give our students an exceptional college experience and prepare them for the future.”

For the second year in a row, St. Francis College will be welcoming its largest incoming freshman class in history. “Our location, tuition and the successful experiences shared by our current students and alumni have made us a very attractive choice for high school seniors,” said Director of Admission John McAuliffe.

Also, new in the fall is a Master’s Degree Program in Professional Accountancy. This two year program offers an alternative to the successful five-year combined Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree program in Accounting. St. Francis accounting graduates routinely earn positions across New York at Big 4 accounting firms, mid and small-sized private firms as well as non profit and government agencies.

St. Francis College, founded in 1859 by the Franciscan Brothers of Brooklyn, is located in Brooklyn Heights, N.Y. Since its founding, the College has pursued its Franciscan mission to provide an affordable, high-quality education to students from New York City’s five boroughs and beyond.
