John Rivera is currently the CFO of Wellspring Pharmaceutical since January 2020 owned by Private Equity firm Avista, based in New York City. He is also a member of the Wellspring board of directors.

He spent 18 years with Sanofi in their human and animal health divisions. He held senior-level positions in Finance and Operations, with responsibilities in the USA, Latin America and International. Lived in Panama and Venezuela.

He spent 11 years with Colgate Palmolive fortune 500 consumer products company where he held positions in Internal Audit, supply chain and manufacturing. Based in NY, Atlanta Georgia, and Puerto Rico.

Graduated with a BS in Accounting from St Francis College in 1989. He played for two years for the St. Francis Terriers baseball team. John is the first person to attend and complete college in his family.

He married his high school sweetheart Madelin in July 1989 and 33 years later still happily married. He has two grown children Kristen 28 and John III 26. Kristen made Madelin and John grandparents on October 15, with the arrival of Baby Jack!

Madelin and John live in Sarasota Florida where they plan to retire at the end of November 2022.
