I am an Associate Professor of Political Science at St. Francis College in Brooklyn. I got my PhD from Louisiana State University. I joined SFC in 2016. In my current position, I teach a variety of courses, including Comparative Government, International Relations, The United Nations, Asian Politics, Latin American Politics, Middle East Politics, Political Science Research Methods, and the Political Science Seminar. Along with serving as the pre-law advisor of the college, I am the faculty moderator for the St. Thomas More Pre-Law Society and the Model UN Club, and I am the advisor for the St. Francis College Chapter of the Pi Sigma Alpha, the National Political Science Honor Society. My research focuses on political economy and political institutions. I have done extensive work in the area of political micro-economy where I explored the myriad ways in which politics shape private companies’ economic choices and performance. My most recent works explore how politics, domestic and international, influence financial markets and macro-economic trends. My original research has been published in journals such as the Journal of Politics, International Studies Quarterly, and the European Journal of Political Economy.
