Welcome to the Department of Nursing at St. Francis College. We are committed to preparing compassionate and knowledgeable nurses through high-quality education. Our goal is to create a learning environment where students feel challenged and empowered to grow into confident healthcare professionals who will make a lasting impact on the communities they serve.

In addition to serving as Deputy Chair of the Department of Nursing, I practice as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner with professional interests in women’s metabolic health, reproductive health, and functional medicine. My experiences in both clinical practice and academia have shaped my belief that strong relationships and a supportive community are the foundation of meaningful learning. As Deputy Chair, one of my priorities is to foster a department where faculty and students feel connected, valued, and supported.

My philosophy of education centers on helping students understand the "why" behind nursing care. While knowledge is important, our goal is to develop graduates who can think critically, apply clinical judgment, communicate effectively, and provide compassionate, evidence-based care. I encourage our faculty to create learning experiences that challenge students to move beyond memorization and develop the confidence needed to care for patients safely and competently.
