Ever since my own baccalaureate clinical rotation in psychiatric-mental health nursing, I knew that I was called to become a psychiatric nurse. Knowing that everything I do and everything I say has the potential to bring about healing in my clients, their families and significant others is a gift I cherish, and am most grateful for every day of my life.

I am privileged to accompany my St. Francis Nursing students on their journey to becoming extraordinary and therapeutic registered nurses. They too have been called to bring healing to those entrusted to their care. They are so needed in a world longing for physical, emotional, and spiritual peace, health, and well-being. I am so very proud of each and every one of them, and I pray that God will bless them with the courage and integrity to make sound clinical judgements as they “nurse” in complex and diverse healthcare systems.

I am very interested in writing NCLEX questions for the RN-Nursing Licensure exam. I have been very excited to participate in several item-writing panels facilitated by Pearson Vue in Chicago, Illinois.

I am blessed to participate as a Eucharistic Minister and Lector in my home parish of Our Lady of Angels, Bay Ridge. I am also a member of the Parish Council, and I am the leader of a prayer group which meets for six weeks during the Advent and Lenten seasons.

With a grateful heart to God, my family, loved ones, colleagues, and nursing students, I say…”Life is Good”!
