My research primarily focuses on the organizational and individual characteristics that yield leadership opportunities for women and underrepresented minorities.  With a professional background in accounting, this interest is a direct result of my personal experiences in the workplace. The literature shows that women represent an increasing majority of accounting graduates in the United States while lacking a representative share of senior leadership roles.  My research explores and amplifies the conditions that provide a path for individuals to reach the highest levels of the organization chart.
