Franciscan Month: Kick-Off Event with Jive Poetic and Guests

October 2, 2023
1 P.M. - 2:30 P.M.
St. Francis College
179 Livingston Street

The Office of Mission, Ministry and Interfaith Dialogue invites the entire St. Francis College community to its Franciscan Month kick-off event on Monday, October 2, at 1 p.m. in the 5th-floor Auditorium and Welcome Center.

We are honored to have SFC professor Jive Poetic and special guests Mahogany L. Browne and Stephanie Pacheco offer live poetry readings, an open mic and a DJ, inviting any faculty, staff, students or alumni who would like to participate to step up to the mic and share their talents — or just sit back and enjoy! Light refreshments will be available at the post-event reception.

This event will kick off our first-ever annual Franciscan Month, which will have Community as its theme, along with the weekly sub-themes of Mindfulness, Service, Unity and Inclusion. These values will guide this event and the many others that have been planned for the month.

We are looking forward to having as many St. Francis College community members as possible gather to celebrate one another, SFC and its Franciscan values at this special event.
