Update: The Senate has confirmed President Joseph R. Biden's nomination of Sparkle L. Sooknanan ’02 to serve as a district judge on the United States District Court for the District of Columbia.

The monies will be used to support scholarships for nursing students and nursing-program faculty residencies at St. Francis College.

More than a dozen events honoring the legacy of St. Clare and St. Francis of Assisi — the latter being the College’s namesake — are scheduled throughout the monthlong celebration, which kicks off on September 30.

Today, St. Francis College signed an articulation agreement with Manhattan College that will allow qualified SFC students to obtain a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering as part of a 2+2 pathway program.

The exhibition features architectural renderings of buildings and portraits of community members of the iconic Manhattan neighborhood by the artist Cheryl Wing-Zi Wong.

SFC is one of seven Catholic institutions in New York State that were recently awarded a five-year $3.5 million grant by the National Science Foundation’s Louis Stokes Alliances for Minority Participation (LSAMP) program.
