St. Francis College is thrilled to welcome back students, faculty and staff.

COVID-19 Vaccine Requirements

St. Francis College requires that all students receive a full COVID-19 vaccination as a condition of coming to campus and accessing College buildings (including the residence hall) during the 2021-2022 academic year.

General Guidelines for Community

Vaccine Requirements for Students
Proof of vaccination must be uploaded by August 1, 2021. SFC has created a process to enable students to upload proof of vaccination

Before the August 1 deadline, students may seek an exemption from the mandatory COVID-19 vaccination requirement for medical or religious reasons. Students requesting an exemption due to a medical reason or because of a sincerely held religious belief must submit a completed Proof of Vaccination form and indicate their exemption request on it. They will then need to complete a Request for Accommodation form and supporting documentation. Please contact Caitlin McGuire and the Office of Accessibility and Accommodations if you have any questions.

Vaccine Requirements for Faculty & Staff
The COVID-19 vaccine is not currently required for faculty and staff. However, all faculty and staff are strongly encouraged to obtain their COVID-19 vaccination at the earliest possible time.

All faculty and staff who have already completed their vaccination are strongly encouraged to upload proof of vaccination so that we can track the progress of vaccinations on our campus. A decision regarding additional requirements for faculty and staff, if any, will be forthcoming.

Medical or Religious Exemption Process
Students may be granted an exemption from the mandatory COVID-19 vaccination requirement via medical exemption or religious exemption. Here is the process for requesting an exemption from this policy due to a medical reason or because of a sincerely held religious belief. Students are encouraged to begin the interactive accommodation process as soon as possible. Accommodations may be granted where they do not cause the College undue hardship or pose a direct threat to the health and safety of others.

All students requesting a COVID-19 vaccination exemption must complete the Proof of Vaccination form and indicate their exemption request on it. Once that is complete, they must follow these steps:

Requests for exemption from the mandatory COVID-19 vaccination requirement will not be considered fully submitted until both the Request for Accommodation form and the applicable COVID-19 vaccine exemption request form have been received by OAA.

Please contact Caitlin McGuire, MSW, Assistant Director of Accessibility and Accommodations at or 718-489-2047 with any questions regarding this process.
