As a Professor at St. Francis College in Brooklyn, New York, my academic journey began at the University of Alberta in Canada, where I earned both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees, before completing a Doctorate in Kinesiology at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I hold dual certifications from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as both a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist® (CSCS®) and an NSCA-Certified Personal Trainer® (NSCA-CPT®), as well as a Certified Weightlifting Coach with USA Weightlifting (USAW). This commitment to human performance extends beyond the classroom, and in November 2025 was put to the test at the TCS NYC Marathon, where I completed the race alongside a world-record field of 59,226 finishers across all five boroughs.

My research sits at the intersection of science and applied practice, with interests spanning training theory, flexible nonlinear periodization, nutrition, artificial intelligence, and exercise programming. This evidence-based approach reflects a broader dedication to advancing the field of human performance and equipping students with the knowledge and skills to make a meaningful impact in health and fitness, contributing to the evolving landscape of kinesiology and strength and conditioning science.
