Ruben Gonzalez, assistant dean of campus life, coordinates more than 40 student clubs and organizations, co-designs freshman and transfer orientations, and organizes or assists with signature student events including Terrier Day, Community Day, De-Stress Finals Week and Leadership Training.

Gonzalez joined SFC in 2005, serving a variety of student-facing roles in his decade-plus tenure with the College, including financial aid counselor, academic advisor, interim coordinator of Campus Notetakers and interim resident director. Outside his SFC work, Gonzalez has pursued student development and community service most of his life, taking on responsibilities as a volunteer coach, youth minister, tutor and summer camp counselor.

Gonzalez earned his bachelor’s in management from St. Francis College in 2004, during which time he was the president of the Latin American Society and speaker of Student Activities Council of Representatives (SACOR). He has a master’s in higher education and enrollment management from Capella University.
