My research interests focus on development during adolescence and young adulthood. In particular, I study the transition from childhood to adult cognition and the factors that contribute to changes in decision-making, risk-taking, and health outcomes during this period. More recently, I have become interested in understanding why people believe, endorse, and share misinformation.
Prior to joining St. Francis College, I worked in a variety of clinical settings throughout the New York and New Jersey area. I completed an APA-accredited internship at University Behavioral Healthcare–Newark Campus and postdoctoral training at the Iona College Counseling Center (now Iona University). Since joining St. Francis, I have taught a variety of courses, including Introduction to Psychology, Introduction to Psychological Research, Developmental Psychology I, and Lifespan Development.
