8:30 10:30 a.m. – Panel 1: Integrating the Culturagram with an Intersectional Approach

10:40 a.m. 12:40 p.m. – Panel 2: Immigrant Enclaves and Diaspora Building Initiatives

12:40 – 1:10 p.m. – Lunch

1:10 1:40 .pm. - Keynote Speaker: Alejandro Portes on:

  • Contemporary Immigration: Its Determinants and Consequences
  • Forum on Migration is under the auspices of SFC International

1:40 2:50 p.m.Panel 3: Navigating Challenges: Immigrant Engagement and Integration

3 4:40 p.m. – Panel 4: The University as Haven -Supporting Scholars in Exile

4:40 p.m. – Concluding remarks by Jennifer Lancaster, Ph.D., Vice President for Academic Affairs and the Academic Dean

The event is open to all members of the SFC community and RSVP is not required.

International Education Week is a country-wide celebration of international education and students in the US. To celebrate that, SFC International has partnered with the Office of Advancement and Forum on Migration for this week-long celebration.
