The sounds of legendary composers Bach, Handel, and Couperin will fill Founders Hall at St. Francis College on October 22^nd from 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.

Presented as part of SFC's Concerts at Half-Past Twelve series, Brooklyn Baroque will perform Celebration of Bach and Handel at 333 and Couperin at 350 featuring regular members David Bakamjian (cello) and Rebecca Pechefsky (harpsichord), as well as tenor Philip Anderson and Jeremy Rhizor. Anderson has appeared in numerous performances in and around New York City in vocal repertoire that spans centuries and includes everything from English Renaissance lute songs to Philip Glass. Rhizor is a violinist who serves as director of the Academy of Sacred Drama.

"Continuing with this season's theme of 'celebration,' we're excited to invite Brooklyn Baroque to honor the great works of Johann Sebastian Bach, George Frideric Handel, and François Couperin," said Suzanne Forsberg, chair of the SFC Department of Foreign Languages, Fine Arts, and International Cultural Studies.

The concert kicks off with Handel's Sonata in A Major, Op. 1, No. 3 for Violin and Continuo followed by Tu fedel, tu costante? HWV 171 and Couperin's Troisième Ordre for solo harpsichord.

Brooklyn Baroque's performance will close out with Bach's works including,

• Sonata in C Minor for Violin and Harpsichord, BWV 1017
• "Woferne du den edlen Frieden" from Cantata BWV 41
• "Halleluja, Stärk und Macht" from Cantata BWV 29

All concerts are held in Founders Hall with a reception to follow.
