St. Francis College welcomed Bruno Chaouat, Professor of French and Jewish Studies and Chair of the Department of French and Italian at the University of Minnesota on March 11, 2016 to discuss France, the Jews, and Charlie.

Chaouat is an Honorary Fellow of the Centre for the Study of Jewish Culture, Society and Politics at Durham University. He has published extensively in English and in French on 19th, 20th and 21th century French literature and thought. His most recent book, to appear with Liverpool University Press, engages with the French intellectual and literary responses to the new anti-Semitism.
