Nursing Students Gain Important Career Advice

A full house of current nursing students learned important career advice from recent graduates, St. Francis College professors, and visiting nurses at a panel on Nursing Careers hosted by the SFC Nursing Club on November 6, 2017.

Eileen Kehoe '16 RN, BSN, who now works at Memorial Sloan Kettering and Dillon O'Sullivan '17 RN, BSN, who works at Brooklyn Methodist Hospital stressed the importance of preparing to take the NCLEX, the nursing certification test, as soon as they walk in the door at St. Francis College.

Professor Estelle Press, DNP, RN, CNM, WHNP moderated the discussion, which also included the chair of the Nursing Department Eleanor Kehoe, RN, PhD, NE, BC, PPCNP, BC as well as SFC Professors Anne Bove, MSN, RN, BC, CCRN, ANP, and Charlyn Habeeb, MSN, RN, BSN.

Two nurses from the NYCDOHMH Nurse Family Partnership, Beatrice Adam, RN, BSN, CLC and De'Vorah Levi, RN, BSN, CLC rounded out the careers panel.
