Professor Edington Speaks at Project Management Conference

St. Francis College Professor Barbara Edington, PMP was featured on one of the expert panels at the Project Management Institute’s (PMI) mini-conference on project management education and research on Nov 17, 2012 in San Francisco, California.

The event, held in collaboration with the Decision Sciences Institute (DSI) brought together scholars from the US, Canada, the UK and Germany to discuss the opportunities for universities and their faculty to develop curricula and to engage in academic research in the field of project management. Professor Edington’s talk focused on the development of project management curriculum in higher education and the development of the Center of Excellence in Project Management at SFC which was she founded to provide an integrated platform for discussion between practitioners and academics. The College’s annual Practical Research Forum, as well as workshops and Graduate Certificate Program in Project Management were also discussed.

Through its diverse offerings, SFC aims to meet the challenges facing the practitioners of today’s global, dynamic projects with current and applied research in the field.
